I know a sweet vacation spot near Iran if you wanna swing by for some authentic Italian pizza. @ckeene9 has probably been there. 1-2 rockets/IDF a week tops. It's a chill spot. Green Bean is on point too.

Didn't JoeJoe have a sweet flashlight setup for a bit? Where is @Namyo anyway?

No never messed much with CV shafts but have been doing the YouTube thing and I have seen some posts way back on here for folks just replacing them. I found a big rip in the inner boot and it is slinging crap everywhere. I am going to just replace it as I am contemplating selling it eventually and look for a decent 2015 or maybe a 2016. I am short on time as I go in for shoulder surgery on the 26th and the truck will have to be my daily again since I won't be able to drive my manual WRX. Timing couldn't be worse.

goog luck with surgery. i'm just starting my 3rd week of recovery from rotator cuff and labrum reconstruction. they won't let me drive for the first 4-5 weeks which really sucks. a tip, pick several simple mods you think you can handle with either 1 hand or the help of a buddy and get the materials together so9 when you feel up to it you have something to tinker with it really helps. best of luck with everything

Been looking at all options but if I do sell it I don't want to stick somebody with something that is going to crap on them after buying it.

Anybody local to VB want to loan out their ECGS bearing puller and bushing installer? I'm getting a growl and need to replace the driver's side diff bearing. I'd prefer not to buy a one time use tool, but will if necessary. Definitely a case of beer involved in it for ya.

We just replaced a CV axle yesterday at a mod day. Not too bad when you have a big enough hammer.

Plenty of hammers. Just don't want to get caught without something I end up needing. My truck is the only vehicle I have for the time being.

I agree. Buy the entire assembly, then do it. First time.... 3 hours total with a fat assed skid plate removal and "goof off" breaks.

    Buy a pre-made hub assembly:

This guy (who according to @The Hunter is pretty much REALLY REALLY SUPER FUCKING COOL!!):
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-ive-done-the-work-you-save-the-money.288282/

Or this guy (who according to @The Hunter pretty much REALLY REALLY SUPER FUCKING SUCKS):
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-complete-save-custom-built-available.288055/

They both use pretty much the same parts and are selling pretty much the same product and make bearing changes pretty much %100 easier.

I bought two front units from NJ636 (second guy) and he did a great job and gave me exactly what I ordered. Customer service was excellent

I can host next weekend if people are interested. I'll be putting my truck back together hopefully by then.

I won't be able to do anything till my exams finish up in two weeks. That and I still need to pick up some new axles from CVJ. Going to do a whole front end reconstruction. New UCAs, OEM LCAs, CVs, and tundra breaks. Still collecting parts too. I can come give a hand for a few hours if I'm off work.

Speaking of which, I will be putting in some Total Chaos weld on spindle gussets sometime soon. Anyone have any recommendations on where to get this done at?
