Just curious, with the old gears out and now a paper weight lol wonder if it is feasible to send them to u and machine those? A back up for whatever reason. Thought about it when i removed them

I hope you don't mind, but I used your ratchet strap trick when I broke the cam bolt torque. It worked perfect!

Rajah dat! Glad it helped someone else lol i was looking at all the different places to get a solid hook up. First tried the UCA drive threw bolt sleeve, before i even tried it thought dat aint gonna work lol. Then thought the garage door frame also thought hell no lol. Reveresed my truck up and a few retightening the strap at couple attempts to break the bolt free and bango!

So I only have 26 miles on the gears, but I did instantly notice how much smoother my drive is. I am running the latest HP tune on my truck from @JustDSM and @nd4spdbh, so my trucks drive ability is immensely better than a stock truck. First thing I noticed was my 35-60mph acceleration, I was driving behind some jack wagon doing 35 on a one lane 45, so I had to pass him, and I went from 35 to 60mph in a second lol. I am very happy with this initial noticeable improvement, and I'm only 26 miles in. I did put a full tank in today and will keep an eye on MPG, however, I really don't care too much about that, if I did I would of bought a Prius lol Can't wait to get some highway time!

Does anyone here have 33s bumper and armor etc notice a difference? I’m about to do gears here in a month or so but wanted to check on stock gear setups to see if they noticed an improvement? I’m gonna tackle this this weekend I believe.

4runner with 33's, full size spare on a hitch tire carrier, plate bumper (3/16's steel), sliders with kickout, skids (3/16's steel) and it was a noticeable difference in driveability. Obviously nothing compared to a regear but helps a bit.

I initially did these with my non built motor and truck that has full armor, bed cage, rtt etc. And yes, it was noticeably better

Breaking the torque is not that bad, just more than you'd think for a bolt that size.

@mightytacoman Got my gears in the mail yesterday! Thanks for the little extra! I’m sure I’ll get at least 5-7hp more than everyone else with the gears, LOL:bananadance:

Cool, yeah no obviously the re gear is in order but I see the people with the difference in the range I want it in for sure. I don’t mind the 3.73s to be honest just would like some more mid range even before I had that stuff on it thanks y’all

It's just too tight even with a universal.
