    Anyone else have a nightmare of a time getting the factory gears off? I started with breaking my crowsfoot, which turned into taking the whole cam out, using a bench vice, MAP gas, and 20-30 seconds of air impact to release the bolt... all on a motor with 18k miles.

    This is the exact reason why i left the install to someone @greenEFSI with vast experience on this. And i confirm that even he had to hulk out when trying to crank that bolt loose. That thing is on tighter than a mofo and I was worried that my set was going to be the first failed job for Gio....until i heard the CRACK that signaled the bolt was freed. He had a fancy snap on wrench adapter extension that provided the required leverage.

    A 6 point wrench with a 4ft cheater bar is my goto. One of the reasons I don't torque mine down, just really snug them. They seem to work their way tighter as the engine runs
