Went camping this past weekend, and on my Walmart run for supplies, I found these. They take AA Batteries, and Lasted pretty much all night! They still work and haven't died yet. You get about 40 feet, and the line is kinda sticky/bendable, so you can twist-tie it and they hold on to anything! Definitely not the brightest, but if you are looking for a little extra light, they work great for $14!!

I use a Milwaukee Top Off system with LED outdoor light strings. They work pretty well. Each 48' string uses about 1A per hour, so my 8Ah battery lasts about 8 hours with one string.

Yeah, I wanted to shy away from vehicle mounted/powered lights. You can always wire up 2 power supplies with an ACR, but you still always count on your vehicle. Would hate to wake up one morning and have a drained electrical system because I "forgot to turn off the lights". I like the various Milwaukee portable systems (M12/M18 flashlights, Top Off system etc) because I already carry tools/batteries. It's a bonus that most of the Milwaukee systems serve multiple functions (i.e. charging phones, cameras etc). It's easy and fairly compact to bring a couple of batteries and a light string.

I am in love with these Feit lights from Costco. I use them when working on the car as they have a magnetic handle so they stick everywhere. Around the camp site, I stick them to the bed side or just set them up high and angle them down to provide lighting. Security is a concern along with draining the battery so like others, I didn't want to mount any lights on the exterior. As a bonus, they're usb rechargeable and in an emergency they're also able to be used as a usb battery pack to charge your phone or other small items. I honestly keep two inside the bed (I have a tonneau cover) at all times.

For string lights, I use these around the camp site

    https://www.amazon.com/MPOWERD-Charger-Batteries-Quick-Charge-Waterproof/dp/B07KYPDPKC

Solar powered, but can also be charged via usb and provide enough lighting.

Those are cool! 18 feet is a solid length for some lights…

I'm a bit biased because I already have a bunch of Milwaukee equipment/batteries, but I really like the rover series. Magnetic base is strong enough to stick most places, has a tiltable light pod, and can also be used as a charger as well...

No. Just a dual battery set up from off grid engineering. I think a red arc maybe a system I may install in the future.
