    Thats interesting.

@caribe makaira might have a wiring diagram to help sort that out. Maybe he'll chime in, all I have is 1st gen stuff.

So can you give us some details on what happened? Were you installing a new radio or something?

Seems that the radio install used the wrong wires.

Without knowing which wires/fuses you used to install the new radio...it's a guess. But if you see the fuses that repeat in the systems that are affected, the wires from the fuses would also be "affected".

Also, how about a closer look at the A/C panel and the connectors?

6 months ago I installed a new stereo system on our 2006 Taco. I went through two different wiring harnesses before I found the one that actually works. In that process, I ended up wiring something incorrectly and burnt up the dimmer switch for the gauges. The gauge lights didn't come on with the headlights. Not sure what you've got going on exactly, but you can pull the dimmer switch from the dash with a thin blade and unplug it and see if things go back to normal. If they do, the problem is the overly complicated (and expensive) dimmer switch.

It's this little guy to the left of the steering wheel. Just carefully shove a thin knife or two in there to pry it out and then unplug it.
