I have a 2014 regular cab tacoma with a bench seat that is uncomfortable for long drives. Please post replies anyone has done a DIY seat swap to bucket seats for this model. TY

I read that before I posted during my research but I was not sure if it applies to my year model 2014 regular cab.

I am trying to change my 2011 from bench to buckets. It's the same set up as the 2014. I checked to see if I can use parts from 2012, 13, 14. It's totally possible and I did a lot of research on it. I am actually now considering aftermarket seats. I know I won't have the airbag, but it's the sacrifice I think I am willing to make. I think this way I can get a more comfortable seat than the stock buckets, and I won't have issues with the fit and center console. The seatbelt assemblies are an easy fix from parts salvage, and I am going to make a Tuffy security console fit in between the seats.

Another way to go might be to talk to a body shop about where to find parts. A lot of times body shops will buy stuff from a salvage company that supplies them with used/salvaged or aftermarket oem parts.

I am trying to do the opposite... my family has outgrown the 5 seater buckets. Is there a safe way to replace the center console for a small kids seat (no airbag needed, as I'm only putting young kids here).

    Thanks.
