Can someone explain tax rules to me?

Nor do I- I take for granted the people who question some things (like tax law) to keep the gov't honest. I don't have time/energy/interest enuf to try and nickle and dime them outta tax money.

While the system is not perfect- If you play by the rules it works out in the end. (at least so far for me it has...)

I gotta get some sleep...

I don't think he has a problem reading. He probably just wanted to be clear that Internal Revenue Code itself is a set of laws that require you to pay taxes.

Reading that USC chapter would make it clear- It would probably take some time tho. It's written by lawyers for lawyers- so it's not really "clear" or "plain" to anyone. That's what I was getting at...

If you want to ask a question like "Do I REALLY need to pay taxes/carry safety equipment on my boat/have an unobstructed license plate/etc etc etc?? You gotta do the leg work and make sure you read the words off the page- Someone else telling you that the law reads one way or another won't help you when the IRS/police/whoever else comes knocking.

 

No shit! They are way better at this game than any of us lol.. And I wonder if there were someone out there who spent the time to really become familiar with the actual laws and stipulations, if they would be able to beat the system. One things for sure, it wont be me, but i would sure like to see it happen.
