I feel like the same engineer that programmed the 3rd gen transmission, designed the steering wheel buttons. They should be taken out back and shot.

I asked because every other vehicle I’ve ever owned has been the opposite and two months later I’m still flipping channels verse changing the volume

I don’t know man. If a person is really complaining about that, then I am not sure what to say.

It’s common sense, that’s how it is on the stereo…

It’s been 2 months and you still aren’t used to it? Interesting.

I honestly didn’t even realize that until I saw a thread on TW about it. That’s why it just amazes me.

Anyways good luck. This forum is good shit, a lot of excellent folks on here.

99% of the time I use the buttons on my steering wheel to flip through XM channels and changing the volume. Looking at the button housing I thought well maybe it can simply be rotated. I forget what time I made the post but it was a time I wasn’t or would be near my vehicle and whenI am I’m never in a position to research it.

I’d taken a closer examination of making the post if I knew it would cause this much bitching but lesson learned; this group can’t handle honest questions

Not to start a shit show here, but 2 of my buddies own 3rd gen autos and have absolutely no issues. Not sure why so many folks complain about it.

Can’t get used to MPG tuned transmission? I’m not sure.

Obviously I hate ATs, drove my buddies ATs and was expecting them to drive like ass. I was pleasantly surprised.

It was mostly a joke. I got used to it as well. Compared to my Lexus trucks it shifts like ass though. Nice solid repeatable shifts in the older Toyota offerings.

It definitely can. You are on the forum where people will state their opinions. I didn’t even quote you directly the first time, I just stated my opinion on the subject.

This forum is awesome dude, I learned a lot on here.

Wait, I like all the dick calling and general fussiness, but why can’t the button be rotated?

OP, open that shit up and get the lay of the land. It’s not impossible. Or if it is, tell us about it.

Ha, now you’re just lying to make yourself sound good. I asked one question in my very first post in this forum. I saw your answer, then I read everyone else’s. My only comment since then has been to the snowflakes like yourself.
