Can you combine a 3" lift kit with a 6" to get 9" total?

What's unpractical about a solid front axle? Trucks had solid front axles for years before IFS became popular. The solid axles are extremely tough and much lower maintenance than the IFS with multiple joints. Solid axles tend to ride rougher which is most likely why most manufacturers switched. Besides the high initial cost of doing the swap, there's nothing wrong with a solid front axle.

 

i know someone who ran coilovers with that lift... it's doable... just ends up looking goofy in a Tonka toy kinda way....

 

X2 I would rather have Solid axle less things to break. Jeeps still have them and the ride is not that bad. If i could afford it I would be doing a SAS right now but it will have to wait until the truck is a little older.

 

I think it would be a great mod to do a solid axle swap even if you dont wheel it really hard. it would wheel great when needed and strong as a tank and you wouldnt have to worry about things breaking or dealing with clearance issues or travel issues. i o wish i had the solid axle so i wouldnt have to worry about shock travel you could put an extra leak in for extra height or leave it stock height and still have the stretch you need. they put coils on rockcrawlers you could do that for you r street ride its alot easier to lift a solid axle.

 

umm stacking lifts rofl why and how? No way you can stack a lift and it be functional... driveline issues rear springs to match.. coils? would have to be aftermarket like race runners or king or fox or airshocks..... BIG money$$$$$ plus all the weak links that would be used to bolt or weld the two kits together... and steering and brake line's power steering hoses lol by the time you spend all the money to make it work you could have bought a long travel kit and fiberglass fenders or a solid axle kit and some crawler box's and a supercharger lol not worth the risk nor worth the time money and it will look dumb as hell lol
