Does anyone here have a body lift with a winch bumper? I'd like to mount my winch, but it doesn't look like any of the hidden winch mounts work with a body lift. Which winch bumpers work with one? I'd also prefer aluminum.

I'd appreciate helpful replies, rather than "get rid of the body lift."

    Thanks,
    TK

Do you just have a body lift on stock suspension? Correct me if I'm wrong Last I check the bumper attaches to the frame so attaching a bumper with winch capability shouldn't matter you'll just have a small gap between the bumper and body if any depending on body lift size

It's a 3" body lift on top of OME 887 and Dakars.

It's not a "winch bumper" that's the concern; it's literally any plate bumper, since it looks like most of them replace the aluminum crash bracket along with its brackets.

Check out the picture below. You can see that the stock aluminum crash bracket was replaced with that slanted one to mount the stock bumper 3 inches higher. Most plate bumpers I've seen, mount to the spot I circled in green, so that would leave a 3" gap between the new bumper and body. What I need need is a plate bumper that mounts where I've circled red.

Well most people don't run a 3" body lift nor do most relocate their brackets to lift the bumper therefore doesn't make a huge market for vendors to produce such bumpers, but your in luck most vendors start from scratch so hit them up and give them dimensions for where the brackets need to be,
You have all pro, mobtown offroad, and c4 fabrication those are all on the top of my head for small vendors that are fabricators.
Is this what you mean by a hidden winch http://www.c4fabrication.com/product/2012-2015-tacoma-2nd-gen-front-lo-pro-winch-bumper/

Yeah, I bought one similar to that from Pelfreybilt. They said it would work with a body lift, but it doesn't.

I'll probably just give All Pro a call tomorrow since I like their aluminum offering.

I just have a CBI hidden front hitch for my winch. You could just cut a hole, if you have the stock bumper. It would save loads of cash too.

You may have misunderstood my problem. The mount would be 3 inches lower than my bumper if I went that route.

No, it normally comes out of the lower valence. 3" lower would put it in the middle of the bumper. It would look pretty normal with a winch on.

I think you might not be familiar with body lifts and how you need to relocate the bumpers for them. If I mounted a receiver hitch where you have it, it would be 3 inches underneath the lower variance.

Also, I'm not into the front receiver look anyways. I'd rather have my winch behind a bumper.

I understand if that's not what you're going for.

I have a 1/2" body lift that I installed myself, so I do understand how it works. Regardless, it was just an idea.

    Happy off-roading!

My 3" inch lift would be a drastic difference from your .5", so I think it'd be a no go anyways. :( I do appreciate the help.

With my minor BL, the hitch comes out in the same spot as stock.

I hope you get this resolved and get that winch and bumper on. Not many on here go over 1" BL, so you'll get very few experienced responses.

    Best of luck!
