Comparing the bottom the fenders with tires looks up a little. At least 2 inches, but hard to quantify from pics. Did u take any pre vs post measurements? Back looked a little squatty too and that seems gone. Is that an 05 or 06? I had an 05 DCLB sport and loved that truck.

Replied with this photo in your other thread. You are definitely higher post install. Body line is higher as well as a larger gap between tire and fender

A plan for the future would be to know what you have and what you are changing to before handing someone your $

I understand paying someone to do the work. But it's also important to understand what's going to be happening.

I agree, but if you’re a decent mechanic that claims to be doing this for years & you see something that’s already installed (in this situation the 3in lift) why wouldn’t you call the customer & let them know? I would feel weird myself installing something that already exist…It was all about making $, I was in the shop talking about how I wanted a more aggressive look with the lift. Shows true colors but it is what it is right? Because that’s what I was told lmao. Smh

Can you post a pic of the front struts, it will be easy to identify the spacer added to the top, sb 1.5 " thick and a block on the rear axle if also added.

I could see the spacer in the front & rear block added when I was getting new tires. But my concern is, doesn’t it look like I already have a 3 inch lift from the photos & they just replaced it with the one I brought. I was under the impression that I didn’t have any lift.(car was bought used) The photos are from before & after the lift, I know 3 inches isn’t much but they look very similar if not identical Lol.

He 100% took advantage of making $ what do you mean he didn’t do anything wrong dude. You’re telling me you wouldn’t feel weird knowing this it the first lift kit someone is trying to a lift on their car & when you go to install it you see the same exact height lift? Wouldn’t you think the customer would have came in saying he needed his lift kit replaced? I was clearly talking about how this was the first lift & how I wanted a more aggressive & bigger look. Bro 100% took advantage

What a good owner would have done is call his customer & let him know to at least give me the chance to return it and get a bigger lift for him to install! He would have made $ doing it the right way but instead he made $ being shady. 100% took advantage

At this point it's all speculation, as you and all of us have no idea what was on the truck prior to install. Based off the before photos your suspension looks factory. In post install photo you can tell it's now lifted. Idk what you were expecting from a 3" lift, but you got it.

To answer the question in the title, yes. I can tell a difference based off your pics. When @Strictlytoyz removed your pick in the middle, it seemed pretty obvious it’s sitting higher. Can you post a pic of the spacer in front and block in rear. How about some before/after measurements from the center if wheel to bottom of fender. Without those…:notsure:

Take it up with the installer. Idk what to tell ya, but in my opinion it was stock prior to work being done and is now lifted post said work :notsure:

It seems pretty obvious there is a larger gap between the top of the tire and the fender in the top pic.

I couldn't get past the op's 1st post. Cant he answer this question? He needs a concensus?

I worked on a incredably ignorant gals timing belt at a dealership once. She was soo upset at the cost and practically in a rage, she started going on about how her dash was now 3" higher...

I too can clearly see a difference in your pics... Maybe what you should've done was just gone the whole distance and put a 6" lift on there. Those tires would definitely look smaller then.

FWIW, you could have taken a measurement (center of hub to fender) before and after. I wouldn't be too hard on the mechanic. It's not uncommon to replace the same components usually with something better - which you might end up doing because a lot of people don't care for RC. Outside looking in, the guy probably just thought you wanted to do just that.

Just to be clear, you noticed this prior to having the RC lift installed? If so, why not take a measurement then to verify before having the new kit installed? Just playing devil's advocate here, don't hate me lol.
