    It seem practical (for my purposes), to put a platform on the bed and have storage underneath for several reasons.

    You can store out of sight and lock it.

    I keeps a lot of small stuff under and if you camp, you can sleep on top of the platform w/o clutter. So it makes two shelfs instead of one large shelf. The surface area is doubled.

    How did you affix it to the bed or is it in place there by gravity?
