Sometimes if I'm lucky my horn makes people jump back a hair, but most of the time it goes unnoticed. :(

I was once sitting at a stoplight minding my own business with the stereo on and daydreaming a bit. I didn't see my buddy the ambulance mechanic across the intersection from me. He was on a test drive, saw me, and decided to say hello with one of those horns. Woke me the hell up. I can imagine it would make any soccer mom with a cell phone glued to her face and not paying attention crap herself.

I am not so much talking about loudness as I am distance traveled. I understand that doubling horn power doesn't neccesarily double sound. But basic physic's means the extra energy has to do something or go somewhere. The OP is going to gain something by this, but what or how much is up for debate.

This isnt a physics thread. "double the loudness" isnt a scientific measurement. I just want to hook up a second set of snail horns. I think its going to louder than +3 db and wont need 10x the power. I can say random numbers to make it sound like i know what the end result will be too, but why bother? Its just a horn.

And as far a wavelenght and distance and how many people in the stadium is irrelevant.

Im just looking to see how its done and try it out.

Yeah, but you can turn these up to 11!

I don't know if it is just the way this reads on the internet, but you come off as a complete asshole right here man. We were just discussing what happens with sounds when you double them or what ever. Also this is definatly a physics problem and I'm pretty sure you specifically asked will it double the loudness.

You asked a question I tried to help, and being a dick isn't gonna get you much more help. Have fun with the search function.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Not really. He kind of proved that you need more than a few horns.
