Any one convince their dealer to do this after they have installed lift and tires? I’m going to call to have this done today but am wondering if I’m going to have to put up a fight.

Mines lifted, tires, snorkel and skids. Dealer did it no questions asked.

Just give them the number to look up .

A lot of them are idiots.
Unless you're at a dealer that sees mostly trucks they don't seem to know anything outside of the Corolla, Camry, Rav4 Highlander market

If you have no luck, I can take care of it for you as well. You'd be my first AT!

Should have no issue at the dealer tho, they don't deny the chosen ones (slushboxes)

I'm really eager to get this done. My truck only has about 1800km on it at the moment. Contemplating doing it now and complaining about the symptoms or waiting for my first service. You think I'll get any resistance if I do it so low on the odometer (ie. them using the excuse of 'oh it's not broken in yet, you havent driven it enough to know for sure blah blah')

Is anyone getting this update with manual transmission trucks? Looks like the documentation states for auto trans. No mention of the 6mt.

Had my 2017 TRDOR done today and was pleased that the shifting pattern is much better, to the point that it is like a new truck ......imo

Got my 2018 TRD OR done today. The printout helped the tech find the file in their software and applied. The drive home was dramatically different. The gear that the truck wanted to be in was much more "decisive" off the line and when passing someone at highway speed. Also the truck seemed just as decisive when going up and down grades at highway speeds. Basically no more gear hunting. I say I am pleased with the update.
