Got the Ironton racks today. I had to center punch and use a step bit to extend the slots, otherwise they wouldn't work with the t nuts (the rail was a bit too low). They seem sturdy without the top of the angle iron attached.

i'll use the yakima jay low's from time to time, or mount directly to some yakima core bars attached to the factory racks (increased load capacity). really depends where i'm headed, with who, etc.

Bought the US Truck Cap Rack because I wanted to use it with my Softopper. It's not easy to install both and the Softopper won't fold up with the rack on so I don't end up using them together. If I had to do it over I probably would have went for something cheaper.

What brand are those and did you have to do something special to mount them? I have your mid height voodoo rack and I’m looking to have this exact set up!

Not sure, that was a customers truck.

    But these should work: https://www.amazon.com/Lifetime-War...8&qid=1536797048&sr=8-1&keywords=kayak+j+rack

Make sure to attach them to the main crossbeams of the rack.
