    I picked up a cheap bed extender from etrailer for $64 and added a couple of kayak hooks($25 eBay) to it. I can easily load/unload my two 12' kayaks. Used it a half dozen times in the past month. Has worked really well for me.

    I was just thinking, it could easy and cheap to build one with black pipe. I love blolack pipe. It's like an erecttor set for adults.

    I took a closer look at the features. Considering they come with locks and the Yakima Jaylow locks are sold seperately, I take it back. They are priced competitively. If I ever wear my Jaylows out, I’ll definitely look at them closely.
