I have an immaculate 1995 Tacoma 2.4 2WD with 215-70 14 inch tires. Nearly impossible to get tires but don't know what 5 bolt wheels will fit in 15, 16 or 17 inch. Costco won't mount low profile tires on this truck for liability/ weight reasons. Can anybody tell me what wheels to get that will fit? 15" or 16" would be best. Thanks for any help

Don’t have a 1st gen. But 1st place id look is on here. You may find some 16” factory wheels from someone who got after market wheels.

Thanks Zach. I will try and find some close to home as shipping would be more than the wheels, maybe put a want ad on Craigslist.

I'm in a similar situation. I have 2000 and am looking to go to 15" wheels for better tire options. The '01-04 5-lug went to 15" with bigger tires as well. Anybody know if anything else changed in the drivetrain in '01? I don't want to lose power or MPG if I can avoid it.

    I'm looking at this combo:
    tires (205/70R15):

    wheels 15" x 6":

Thanks Slim. I just want to know if a newer 15" Toyota steel wheel will fit as there are lots of choices, as well there are a few 225-70 14's that would work, T/T, Cooper etc...

My understanding is up to 2004 you're okay.
