What CB did you end up with?

 

Have not bought yet. Have mount, firestick, and heavy duty spring. Just deciding on a unit.

 

I went with a Uniden 505XL because it was inexpensive. It has ok performance, and I think it's a little on the bulky side. I think I'll end up with a Midland 75-882 this summer because it's really compact, and it can be portable.

I kind of want it in the console with a quick release plug coming out of the front.

I had the same idea! This is what I started to do, but then realized it's a lot of work, and would be kinda annoying always opening the console to change a channel or adjust the volume. I'd rather get an all-in-one, handheld CB that hides in the console when I don't need it, and just hang it on the dash when I do need it.
