    For overnight but the bigger problem I've always had is going down the road the precipitation freezes to the back window if it's at or below freezing.

    Reviving this thread since it's getting snowy again - anyone ever do this? I notice I get grime when the road is wet which the defroster wouldn't help. Driving during a snow storm yesterday my topper window was covered in snow, so I'm wonder if it would help then or just end up as wet melted grime instead of snow.
