Ed, did they just reset the ECM so it would re-learn or did they apply an update? It should be noted one way or the other on the paperwork.

    Thx

They only reset the ECM; I believe the update was for the 4-cylinder. The ECM reset along with the top-off seems to be working. She's more responsive while getting the same mileage. I expect it improve about 1 more MPG, which isn't shabby for mostly city driving.

I got about a 10% bump in mpg when I reset mine:

So we brought Kiki home tonight, and the name is sticking.

Here she is halfway through a careful cutting out of her mats . We will end up shaving her down when she's stronger (she was spayed this morning).
    image.jpg

She's as chill as can be - happy to be loved or left alone. Thankfully she has taken to Lucy, and they bonded immediately. Lucy can tell that Kiki is in pain, so she mothers her.
    image.jpg

It's funny that they look related, though Lucy is twice her size. Kiki is coming in at 8 pounds, and is considered 3 pounds underweight. Lucy is on target at 16 right now.

Her behavior is so different. No aggression or fear responses, though she does dominate. Kiki is totally cool, all "yeah, whatever," and Lucy lets it be. They were following each other around, and Lucy keeps trying to get Kiki to play.

For the record I wanted to name her Ethel but I was outvoted 2 to 1. Lucy and Ethel would have been perfect.

So there was this douchepants asshat GMC Yukon who kept dogging me all the way down Manchaca this morning. I'm doing everything in my power to do an even 48 and keep it in very low 6th gear, and this guy is beside me speeding ahead and dropping back, over and over, like an epileptic porpoise. He was REALLY starting to piss me off. Eventually, he pulls ahead of me and cuts right in front of me. Seriously turdblossom? That's how you're going to play this?

Then I pull up behind him at the next light to see this:

Oh, you mother fucker. It's now on.

We think so, now that she's in the house. Her behavior is a lot like our friends' Maltese - "pet me, I'm yours, who are you again?" While her undercoat is super soft like Lucy (poodle/terrier mix) her outer coat hair is(was) long and thick like a Maltese. We're slowly cutting it all off - poor thing is going to look like a drowned rat pretty soon. Like any rescue she hadn't seen a brush in a long time and is basically one full-body mat. As soon as her stiches heal she's getting a shaving, and we'll be able to keep her brushed out after that.

Love the blue DCLB! I just wish toyota would let people who like shifting get one.
