Definitely! I had already put some foam in mine, but I'm waiting until it rains this weekend to see if I need to swap them out or not.

I bet if you call extang and give them that number in the sticker at the bottom, they would send you a set.

Got some more mail today that the Ameridog helped open. Putting these on soon too!

The dog won't stay attached there - she has to stay inside.

The shields are going above the Tacoma badges on the doors, yes. Glad that others see that as the logical place - makes me feel good about the decision to order them!

Just waiting on the receiver lock and one more TRD badge for the tailgate now.

Unfamiliar with the reference and had to look it up. If you're referring to vibrations, she's smooth and quiet.

    Thanks
Thanks Jenn! I've been wanting to do this for a whole year, and I'm stoked I finally got to. It seems it could be a little childish for a 46 year-old, but fuck it - I don't care!

In Austin, it won't even get much of a second glance when there are '88 Lincolns with trolls glued to all surfaces rolling around.

Okay, so AutoAnything customer service and I have been going around and around over this. They argument is that I never requested them - my response is that I never should have had to when they come with the tonneau.

Things are escalating in an unhappy manner, and I'm starting to get pissed with those turd blossoms.

Why would you ask for them? I didn't ask for them. Hell, how would you even know they existed??? They should have come from Extang since they new there was a hole. I hope it works out in your favor. what an asinine situation....

Yup. Here's how the latest argument broke down:

    Them:
    Thank you for contacting AutoAnything.

We appreciate the picture you have provided. Our records show that you had previously requested "tailgate plugs". However, as per the attached image, this hardware is not required. Could you please confirm which hardware is missing, according to the installation instructions?

Thank you for shopping with AutoAnything, we appreciate your business.

    Your AutoAnything Team

    Me:
Okay, you're confusing me. Why should I have had to request anything in addition related to the tonneau? I was not even aware that the "foam seal install to header rail ends" was even an item until another person who also ordered the Extang SolidFold 2.0 from AutoAnything received it in the box for his 2016 Toyota Tacoma. If it was in the package for his tonneau then I would have expected it in the package for mine. The only difference in our orders was that he ordered three weeks after I did. The package of foam seals for the header rail ends was included in his tonneau cover's box.

As you can see from the image, the item is a supplement and thus not part of the original installation instructions. My tonneau leaks right where these end seals would install, and I have been shown that it is because my tonneau did not have these seals included in the box to solve that. I have attempted to address this with Extang but they have not answered my requests for assistance.

Please address this with Extang if necessary, and send the requested missing parts. Thank you.

It's unreal. They knocked it out of the park getting me the tonneau and the steps, and then THIS happens.
