Why so loud? I run a nice, quiet thread here. Unless you want to help bitch at why the foam seals weren't in my tonneau box...

Called Extang, and header rail seals are on the way. I've got to pick up my own tailgate seal.

Stupid 2" of rain an hour Texas weather...

Had to go to the DMV to get my plates straightened out, but they're finally on the way.

God, I love this blue. Great truck, too.

Wow, I had my plates in a week. That was actually the fastest I have ever seen the TXDOT get them to me.

Disabled vet plates are harder to transfer from car to car. I had to "close out" my registration of the last car and basically start the truck from scratch. The dealership can't do that. I think it's because DV plates are $6.

Maybe a tiny bit. They're the Steelcraft Widestep 5" bars, and I got them from AutoAnything. They're cheaper than OEM but install beautifully. They're actually for the later second gen (box said 2012-2105) but the 2016 has th same bolt hole pattern.

hey can you take a pic of the rear decals on both sides and see if they are mounted evenly? think I notice on the warden's truck, the decals in relation the rear tail light point is not the same on either side.

    You mean like this?

    image.jpg image.jpg

If you want close-ups, I'll have to take them later. These should be big enough to zoom in on.

Your warden sounds pretty particular. So's mine.

Looking at it again, I think it appears a little off because of the TRD in relation to the SPORT.

Hmm, I haven't got the DV tags yet since I need to go back in for a re-eval. Good to know what will be coming my way though.

While I'm not a yuge fan of chrome or total blacked out looks, i can see that you have a good balance and I respect that kind of taste in trucks.

Thanks. I'm leaning to derping the grille in a 5 stripe red and white pattern at some point, but I'm also thinking that might actually take it over the edge. Whaddaya think?

Really like your build, the blue is killer!

I'd do a Captain Canada edition, but too sheepish, after all...I'm Canadian.

No, but you could add subtle red accents to a white truck and have a bitchin' Alpha Flight ride. Or a Barcelona red truck with a thick white offset racing stripe with a maple leaf graphic accent hood and tailgate...that could be cool.

November I was still waiting for my truck! 13 week wait.

MGM looks good with @rrentrop's vinyl tailgate letters - so many good choices. Have you seen his thread?

:bananadance:Sucks man, but look at the beauty you got!! The wait is all worth it now. I'm following your build cause I like what you are doing without going over the top.
Oh ya, seen that thread, thinking about what I want to do to mine. I'm a little conservative, being in my late 50's, but ya never know.
