Ah, good. Goooooood. Now you just need to head up these trials. There is a great camping spot midway up Laurel, it's really obvious.
We are going to try to head over there with the teardrop late Sept/early Oct if Minime and both sets of inlaws don't interfere...

Nice. Yes, Bristlecone is a whole-day affair for sure, at least, if you take Silver Creek even just one way.

It's quite possible that is the exact fire ring at which I proposed to her. It was a moonless night and the Milky Way was insanely vivid. We saw two shooting stars in quick succession, and I gulped and said to myself "well, that must be the signal..." as I fumbled with the ring box in my fleece pocket...

NorCal/Nevada trip Sacramento to Gardnerville to Smith Valley to Mt. Patterson back into Smith Valley.

Here is my trip I just took last weekend... This is a fun NorCal/Nevada trip that we did. 3 Yotas and a Jeep. We headed up Hwy 50 from Sacramento to Tahoe and then took 89 to 88 into Gardnerville, NV once there we fueled up and got strait on the trail in Gardnerville I believe the Trail was (UPDATE the trail is P11)P11 we stayed on P11 all the way through coming up what i believe was Sugar Loaf and Eagle Mountain till we ended up in Smith Valley, NV. Once we came into in Smith Valley we were in a residential neighborhood and got on the main road called Lower Colony Rd.(323) then left onto 208 and then 208 runs strait into 829 at the Fork(stay Right) then 829 runs into off 338 then it’s almost an immediate right onto Desert Creek Rd. and about 30 min into camp depending on how far in you want to go... the next morning we got up early made breakfast and then after we continued on Desert Creek Rd. all the way up to Mt. Patterson. The Pictures do not do this clime justice it was sooo awesome once were at the top you could see for miles...Untitled3.jpg

This is us headed up the mountain from Gardnersville

such an awesome view... I will get more pictures from my buddies shortly
this picture is right before the top u can see the pit top of the peek right off the end of my bumper and up.

When we decended down the backside of the mountain we found some old Log Cabins that were pretty awesome its amazing someone lived up here
