I have been bit by the newer truck bug. My 2015 Tacoma OR DCSB has been great for the past 46k miles, but I definitely want a few more options this time around that were not available in 2015. A friend of a friend just got a 2017 Tacoma Limited, what I used to refer to as the "poser" model for people who mostly stay on payment, but now I think it would be "beneficial" to have more options but retain the modest off-road capabilities.

Been researching 2017/2018 Tacoma's along with 2016+ Tundras. Living in Colorado makes me lean more toward the Tacoma again for many reasons, but I really miss the power and growl that can come out of a V8. I will be honest I do not get off-road more than once or twice a year, but I know that Tundra is capable.

I'm turning 38 tomorrow going on 18 in car maturity. As a "Xennial" I still yearn for the big block V8s, but like to be somewhat responsible with reliability and resale values in mind. Deep down inside I think my wife wants to lock herself in the closet until the dust settles.

Not really look for response, so thanks for letting me word vomit all over this post.

Wait till you get to be 70 before you look at a Limited, you are still young so have fun.

I'm not considering the Limited at all but would like a sunroof and heated leather seats.

Hey, I’m in my 60’s and never considered anything but TRD OffRoad ... except maybe SR 2.7 5 speed, but too late for that now. I do have the tech package, love my heated seats. Not that there anything wrong with a Limited, just don’t stereotype us old people. Now get off my lawn!

No way I would pay that much for it, but in terms of options on the inside that's more my style.

I have those in my '18 TRD Sport, upgraded from my '15 Sport for the same reasons you want to upgrade, getting some stuff that simply wasn't available on my truck in '15. Sunroof, heated leather seats, heated mirrors, power back slider, bunch of safety stuff that I could live without but doesn't bother me (except that lane keeping assist, that shit is turned off). Pretty sure you can get that stuff in an Off Road too?

What was your final price for the Sport? I think I can get most of those options in the Off-Road.

List on the sticker was $39k and change with the 6MT (and some accessories, step bars, mats, bed extender, etc), automatic would add some to that, not sure how much. There was an almost identical truck with auto and JBL on the lot, sticker on that one was $42k ! Depends on your area how much you can get off the list price, I'd hope at least a few grand? I've heard there is high demand for Tacomas in CO?

Always high demand for Tacomas in Colorado; however, there is also high supply right now. I see the "rare" Tundra/Tacoma TRD Pros on the lot everywhere used and new. Shoot one dealership has 3 Tundra Pros and 1 Tacoma Pro. Dealers are definitely throwing money out on new right now, anywhere from $2-4k. I think Toyota is trying to put a Tacoma in everyone's driveway.

It's also 4/20 today, so I was hoping to catch a stoned Toyota crew looking to hand out more discounts than normal...
