Mine does or at least did. Not sure if it still does but when I first checked it during the install it made a subtle clicking noise. Once I tucked it behind the HU and especially when driving, I don't hear any clicking.

Looking good ! When I first installed my front camera, I kept the grid lines activated, thinking that I might later disable them. After a while I decided that the grid lines were barely noticeable and handy sometimes.

I didn't notice any clicking ran the front camera for about 15 minutes on the way to work switching between front and rear and no sounds. Only thing I noticed was when switching to the front camera it is not as quick as when switching to the rear. I will be doing some adjustments to the camera position and will be using the shims as soon as I can get the 8mm coupling nuts to secure the camera from behind the grill. I will be opening up the hole I threaded the camera into to get more of an upward and forward view. My goal is to have the top of the license plate at the bottom of the view screen. If the weather holds up, I will work on getting the engine bay wiring done, and maybe doing more routing in the dash to clean it up.

Hard to tell what exactly you are asking, it is a anytime camera with its own controller, you can activate it anytime with the Mode button. So if the vehicle is on the road you can hit the Mode button twice and hold the Up button til it beeps to keep it on.

I finally got my Nakita front camera securely mounted in the grill with a 3D printed adapter. Parking is so much easier and the interface on the head unit is easy to use.

Looks like an Android head unit. Did you use the CS controller with it? What model head unit. Very clean looking install.

Yes, it's a Dasaita PX6 Android 9.0 unit. Not sure what the CS controller is. Everything on this unit was plug in play.

Got it! That's not required with this head unit since that functionality is supported out of the box. Thanks for the explanation.

    uhhhh....dog fur?
@Cav_BluTRD when you toggle the Mode button on the steering wheel to get into the cameras does it drop the music playing due to the nature of the Mode button?
    Thanks!

Nope. Sure doesn’t! And the buttons used would be the “change station/ song” nothing is effected when changing cameras though.

Got it working!! One of the little pins in the adapter for the smallest plug (XM plug) was bent and pushed in from not sitting properly and when I wiggled the plugs (gently) to try and get it seated I must have pushed it back. Got it straightened out and pushed all the way in. XM is back! Just be extra, extra careful the plugs on the radio!

Is there a way to leave the front camera on for extended periods of time?
