2023 Tacoma. Ordered hooked, RFCC powers up, double click "mode" works, no camera on display. Not even trying to show a camera at all. I mean if the camera is not hooked up, I expect to see a blank screen instead of a camera but I get not effect of any sort. Mine states on the box: RFCC Car Camera, Control System for Toyota Touch 2, CY17-CY19/Entune 3.0. Product ID: 894269. The harness is from Car Solutions with the RFCC. Any ideas what am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance for your time.

PS When the RFCC is hooked up and I turn on the engine and switch to reverse, no camera either. Not a sign at all, the display stays as I didn't put on reverse at all. No change. Once I disconnect the RFCC, everything works normal.

    Two thoughts:
First is to make sure you have the correct firmware for your vehicle. Email the company and they will send you the firmware package.

Second, it might just not be compatible with your year. I tried it in my 2022 and it was super buggy even after the firmware update. Intermittent remote lock/unlock failure, delayed camera activation, etc. You might want to check with the company to see if they fixed the firmware for your year.

Make sure the dip switch #3 is turned off on unit. If on, turn it off when the power is turned off on truck.

    Vielen drank.

That did it. By default switches #s 1, 2, and 3 are “on”. Switching switch # 3 to “off” did it. Everything works.

Yurii from Car Solutions support was extremely responsive and answered me right away in an email and in WhatsApp, and let me know to turn off switch # 3 and give it a try again.

Thank you for your advice and time. You really made a person smiling today!

You are correct. I contacted them and Yurii replied right away with the advice to turn off dip switch # 3 and that did it. By default switches 123 are set to on. No firmware update in my case.

Thank you for your time and advice.
