Hello all. I've seen a few comments about a "carbon filter delete". I was wondering where it is? how its done? and is it worth it? I know it would be illegal because I assume you are messing with emissions but I am still curious.

Open up your intake like you're replace your air filter. You'll see it in there on the driver side of the air cleaner assembly. Black looking filter.

Removing it makes no difference on the V6 Tacoma. I regret taking mine out.

It did absolutly nothing. It has no impact on the engine performance/ By removing it, I eliminated a device that could potentially stop some debris if the main filter failed for some reson.

When he talks you better listen, we all set our clocks by him. If not, he gets more outraged than Stalin after a bad mustache trim.

Does the carbon filter need replacing or cleaning?
