    Like I posted before, remove the switch and test the switch terminals. It is a $3.00 switch.

    It may be circuit dependent, yeah? Sounds like this circuit floats at 12v? Or enough to fire the indicator led.

    Ok so indicator light lights up when it is connected to 12v, did it straight from my battery it will also light up if I connect it to the blue wire on the harness

    It's not a "ground", it needs to make ground in order to activate the Cargo Lamp relay.
    Did you do ON & OFF on the switch?

    Switch wire inputs on the switching side not the switch illumination, that is "blue" or battery 12v to red and green to ground.

    Ok, tried it and the switch stays illuminated. I had to get it back together so I’ll have to live without indicator light.
    Thanks for your help I really appreciate it.
    Oh and the switch cost 20.00, where you buying 3.00 switches? Lol

    Same place the company you bought it from buys "theirs"...China.
    I hope you're not confusing the circuit ON indicator LED with the switch illumination LED...have a good one.

    I would just wire it up as a power switch feeding a relay to do the ground switching.

    Connect the wire you want to be ground switched to pin 30 of the relay.
    Connect pins 85 and 87 of the relay to ground.
    If your relay has an 87a, leave it floating (cap it or ignore it).
    Connect fused power (add a fuse) to the custom switch input wire
    Connect the custom switch output wire to 86 on the relay

    Now the indicator light will work, switch illumination will work, and the circuit will establish ground with pushbutton switch as you desire.

    OP, is just substituting the OEM Cargo Switch with a China Switch (without door select). Circuit already has a hot fused source to a relay. A simple ON/OFF switch is all that's needed. But...

    I just need the trd panel, cargo switch (oem). And the correct third brake light that supports cargo lighting.
    Anyone have any of these parts listed??

    I have a 2022 SR access cab. It does not have the cargo light where the 3rd brake light is. I have read all the posts and If I understand it correctly In order to add a cargo light and the 2 bed lights I would need
    - on off switch to replace the bank in the dash panel
    - new 3rd brake light with cargo light
    -bed light kit

    does that sound about right? Anyone have the part numbers for the dash switch or 3rd brake light with cargo light?

    Virtually impossible to find a replacement cargo/3rd brake light lamp. that will fit my 2019. I doubt the 22’s are any different I gave up on it. I do have an oem switch if you want to pm me.

    Does anyone know if I install the switch and the bed lighting kit will the bed lights work even though I don't have the cargo light up with the 3rd brake light?

    If you have verified your Taco has the harness inside the rear headlight assemblies, I'd say yes.

    I managed a light but my access cab is a different animal than the other 3rd gens. So there it sits on a shelf.
