Ya i have to take it in tmrw to have the back seat cushion replaced on my driver seat. It squeeks like an old barn door. Maybe i will ask nicely while im there.
Otherwise i guess the 1 time $10 ai t too bad.

Just in case it is helpful, attached is the customization list so that it can all be done the way that you like it in one shot.

It looks like it was for a non-US Taco given the mileage in proper KMs.

Just a follow up.... I did change to 7 blinks but found that to be too much.
Five (5) blinks though is the sweet spot for me.

Agreed. I'm at five or six also. It's enough flashes to let folks know beforehand and complete a lane change or merge.

The only fun part is trying to remember what to do to cancel it. For some reason, tapping again in the same direction feels correct, but it is actually tapping the other direction.

kind of disappointing in the options for the carista i just purchased...Yes, I did what I wanted, Turned off door open chime, updates my turns to 7 signals...but...really...overall dissapointed...Maybe the diagnostics will be better int he future when needed, but now....not worth the 'scription.

Should i just buy the $10 month to make the changes?
Someone said awhile back it was not super ez to cancel after the free trial.
    Can anyone comment further?
I really just want to make the obvious quick changes so the free one would be great. I worry about getting stuck paying for a year tho ......

Just cancelled my subscription on Android. Just go to play.google.com, manage subscriptions, find the Carista one, and select to cancel subscription. Took a minute and it was done.

I just did a week and made the changes I want, work the 25 bucks. That said. My rear back up sensors don't work now? They are switched on, I double and triple checked. Anyone have this issue? I think it's unrelated but the timing is iffy, wanted to see if anyone else had this issue before I bring it in.

    Sorry. I have a non-tech / non-premium Taco.

    Don't apologize for being smart.

Tech 90% of the time is busy malfunctioning and I backed into my snowmobile because I got so lazy and used to the sonar doing the work for me. :anonymous::frusty: Luckily just a little paint damage on the sled and it's 15 years old.

Ha! I hear you. Both my wife and I have backed into our cars in our odd driveway. Shit just happens. I do enjoy reverse cameras.

How did you turn off the open door chime?? I cannot find that option when I ran Carista today.

I turned off the seat belt Chime, not the door chime...sorry, I stated that incorrectly.

i had no idea how often I open my doors with the truck running...hate that chime...wonder if a dealer can do it

Yeah, that chime is the worst. I'll ask next time I am at the dealer.

Sorry, but no. The Carista options are the same as the dealer / TechStream.

You can delete the chime two ways:

-- Remove the ball / spring switch that is mounted to the ignition key barrel. There is a thread or two about doing that. Although, when I put my key in while parked in the garage, I hear a sound that seems to be something priming. I don't want to lose that function. This mod should be reversible.

-- Remove the speaker from the back side of the instrument cluster. Doing this will both reveal the Taco Truck easter egg and also delete your turn signal and other chimes. This mod is generally not reversible.
