We stayed there 2 summers ago. Didn't care for it. They are now adding that waterpark at the entrance and right next to the circle. I fear the traffic at the circle and going toward the refuge is going to be a nightmare. Going to Chincoteague in July...we'll see...

Yep, I'm on the main land right across the bay from the island. My parents just built their final home on the island and I'm only about 20 minutes away. I would actually be closer by boat. My grandfather was a waterman and my dad does it as a hobby. I'm currently saving for my first boat to start doing the same.

Still won't work. The valve that comes on a boat like the OP posted is different then what is on a pool inflatable boat.

Not to toot my own horn, but when I was working there it was essentially me and my buddy responsible for all the protein. We graduated college and took on our careers about 4 years ago leaving Woody's as our summer job. I've had alot of folks say the food isn't as good as when we first opened up.

This has the low volume inflator tube that you can use an adapter for the rubber valve, or just use the hose that goes into a Boston valve.

If not a trailer, I would say leave the floor in the boat and just deflate enough to get it into the bed. Less labor intensive to inflate with an electric pump than to reinstall the floor manually. Use a high volume pump (12V or use the 110 outlet in the bed) to inflate at the water.

A benefit of a small trailer would be not having to load and unload when you are at home. Just hitch up and go. My family owns 3 kayaks and use a small utility trailer for them. 3 on the roof can be done but the trailer is so much easier. Also, when loading and unloading at the water, you wouldn't need to lift the boat into the bed or onto the roof. Trailer is much easier height to deal with and if you boat somewhere where you can dunk the trailer, you could even load and unload alone. Loading a fully inflated boat on your roof couldn't be done alone very easily I imagine.

Would have been a cool place to grow up.
I believe 2 summers ago was when it was sold by the Maddox family. It defiantly changed ALOT that summer, and not for the positive.

That's the problem. These inflatable boats while only 8-10psi, are still way harder than a pool toy. They have different valves then them as well.
