Got the new unit installed from cartrimhome, this is not the Dasaita, this stomps on the performance of it.

    https://youtu.be/_JVxpMjzJOc

    pros:
    - back up camera works
    - steering wheel controls function
    - Bluetooth doesn’t drop calls
    - built in wireless CarPlay no adapters needed.
    - no CarPlay cutoff works like a champ.
    - installed a front camera for 35$ simple plug and play no additional work needed. Full time camera for front and rear with internal configuration of the headunit from factory.
    - built in AMP allows your factory speakers to sound better than ever, and how they should have from factory.
    - amazing customer service and help.
    - turns your factory media “usb” plug into a functioning usb plug for updates or media file play to headunit.
    - microphone in unit works fine no need for an external mic to be hooked up.
    - able to change apps and pictures to customize how you want it to be displayed.

    cons:
    - you will lose the factory XM radio as your receiver is no longer attached, yet that can now be played through the app on your phone for CarPlay.

installed small mods needed for the factory mounting brackets.

So far my favorite mod I’ve done as this was a major flaw that Toyota gave us with the engine.

fits like a glove and should have came factory with something like this. Rather than the entune radio they provided

What kind of apps are available for it? I have an iPhone 8+, I was just curious if there’s an app to track the mpg like the oem unit had? Also is there a way to have breadcrumbs on the gps apps?

Imagine your iphone or Samsung tablet in there. Anything you do with your phone, you can do with it.

Everything :) Dasaita doesn’t have support, Dasaita’s chips burn, 47 users in my group already returned their Dasaita and bought PX6. Faster, newer, real Android 10 and not spoofed, quality better . I can go on all night ! Plus most important cheaper.

This unit seems pretty nice! I have a 2015 with the Entune touch screen, non-JBL. Is this unit compatible with the stock rear camera and stock microphone? Also, is there any way to retain usage of the aux port?

If wireless CarPlay is “built in” how come when I look at ordering it has option for an extra dongle?

    Idk

how come the guy who bought the kit and installed it already is telling you it has a built in CarPlay? And you’re asking me what the website says?

pay the extra price if you want, I’m just sharing my personal experience to help save people time and money

I can’t say for the 2015 yet i can say on the 3rd gen it’s a plug and play. Yet in reality the kit has a plug and plat for front and rear if you don’t have any cameras. My rear that was existing was plug and play with the harness that came with the radio. The front was a plug up video cable and a power wire behind the unit.

i was looking at the same pioneer. The reasons now that i see.

1- price on this unit as well with a canbus controller is cheaper by more than half of the pioneer
    2- radio has wireless CarPlay
3- plug and play for full time front and rear camera no additional kits to buy
4- ability to use the headunit for full time online service
5- almost unlimited ability to personalize and upgrade the unit with apps able to download from google App Store

@H_19 was there any extras that you purchased from their site listing when ordering in order to retain your functions (front/rear cameras, etc...), or did you just get the default head unit? I've been wanting to snag this for some time, but life seems to throw something else my way. Now that I've got the means to replace the god awful entune system in 17 Sport, this is the direction I'm planning to go.

I got the wired and wireless CarPlay dongle they offered yet after getting it i realized it has a built in wireless CarPlay so i just have that piece sitting around.

the front camera i ordered on Amazon for 35$ so honestly i say you need the order nothing but the kit itself no additional pieces.

No worries brother Hope the install goes smooth.

download Nova Launcher on the unit after it’s installed so you can modify the icons to say apple car play etc after it’s all said and done
