Has anyone bought a cat shield locally or are there only US ones?
Looking to get one but may have to get from the states.
Few options are Miller Cat and Cali Raised LEDs who send to Canada.
    Any suggestions?

We sell them at my dealer in Alberta, where are you located?

they are expensive and Tacomas are typically not stolen as the primary cats are in the engine bay, but it’s still a chance for the post cats.

Do they sell the stolen cats as replacements or are they dissected to get at the precious metals?
If sold as replacements I was thinking that a piece of hardened steel that wraps totally around the exhaust pipe prior to and up to the cat would work?
Hear some people are having rebar welded to do something similar
If they cant cut it they cant get it and they don't want to cut the cat itself.... Anyone make such a item?

Was checkout out the replacement cost of the cats in Canada.

The one with all the piping is $616 from Walker but Bradford Toyota has the OEM one for $786. Know which one I would use if it comes to needing one

Yes usually the thief wants a full converter to fence to another shop or salvage yard. The thieves don't do the metal processing themselves.
