+1 for using your brain and not being a murdering, cruel, moron whose first solution to a problem is to kill.

Scarecrow sprinklers work good for the yard. I have had success with ultrasonic cat repellers. If you put one at hood height, it should be perfect. My cats used to freak out when they got near it.

Maybe cuz you can punt a cat if it was attacking you...but i would do all i could to avoid having to kill an animal for any other reason than hunting or if i was in seriour danger...its just not right

And one more point to make,

A lot of you know that I lost my cat, Ramsey, last year while on a road trip 200 miles from home with my family. After the most trying 7 days, and after every tactic known by mankind to find, trap, or lure in my cat, he was spotted and trapped on somebody's property near the location he was lost. The man who spotted him was a registered sex offender with a criminal record, but he completely redeemed himself by taking in my cat. He found one of my flyers at the post office later that afternoon and called me.

I'm glad he wasn't found by some of the members here...he wouldn't have a chance.

And here's the thread in case you haven't read it.

My grandpa tried this. He lives in Utah. They said they didn't have the resources to do anything about cats so they just told him to hit the cats in the head with a hammer or shoot them after he trapped them. haha

    I've tried Step 5 recently.
It seems to be working somewhat. It's too early to tell.
Repel cats from your car with a natural repellent that is derived from predator; coyote and fox urine. The commercial product Shake Away works well if you apply it sparingly around your car. Do this by marking the area the same way that the predator would. Shake the formula close to your car tires and mark the surrounding area to indicate that this territory is yours and cats are not welcome. Mark your property; fence post, tree, shrub, and the side of your home. By marking in different sections you will be repelling cats from all directions. When the cat picks up the scent of the predator they will leave the area. Reapply cat repellent... Although I can't keep shelling out 28.95 every month either :(
This cat is shitting in my front yard. Until it starts happening to you personally and you are cleaning up a free roaming cat, piss and shit seems like a bunch of people are just spewing opinions on what is the best method lol.
