Should I bother scrounging for a low mileage newer midpipe for my 2008 or just buy one of the several for $150ish that I've seen online. Would prefer low mileage oem from newer truck than mine but not sure of availability prospects. Salvage iffy, oem is gonna be ridiculous for new one.....Anyone with constructive suggestions. Truck is near 200k with oem everything as far as motor, intake & exhaust. Getting the stuffy low power feeling and the blaring weird noise at higher rpm trying to push it and slight rattly sound under truck somewhere. I have a gibson catback I can swap in to verify whether muffler caving or indeed the cats are toast but pretty sure it's cats. Other than that truck runs fine at idle and lower rpms. Not interested in straightpipe option with lights on dash, has to pass inspection.

Im running a bosal direct replacement on mine from rockauto. Bosal is the same company that manufactures the TRD catback for the 4.0 v6.

I was just on that site checking out that exact item........most likely replacement I have found. I will also get the donut, spring bolt kit and catback gasket while I'm at it. Then just keep using the oem muffler til it gives up then pull the Gibson catback down out of attic.
