CB Antenna Mount Bracket

I an on doing mine in the center console armrest/cubby. Bought the radio yesterday (President McKinley), will be installing in the next week or two. You bet ill be posting pics here.

 

Yelp thats the spot im thinkin about. Just collects junk otherwise. Im goin small on the radio, i dont need to talk very far in my pixkup.

 

I think some of the smaller Midlands and Cobras (19 included) shouldn't have a problem fitting in there. My measurements tell me a McKinley will, but it will be tight. I'll find out for sure soon.

 

There's more room in there than you think. I was going to put my Mckinley in there too, but I was hooked up with a 3D printed holder. The Mckinley is an awesome radio!!!

 

Any more info on that 3D holder?

Mine was a recent purchase, it's fairly small cracks on the edges and I decided to move the antenna to the rear and use them as ditch light mounts. It might be a little because I went down a dirt road "Baja style" and got a little air off of a cattle guard haha. It's still a really good mount, I'm mostly moving it to utilize the mounts for lights.

 

If it helps, @chrisrocks300 was great to work with....and since he did mine, I'm sure he still has the file to make another . His set up is a great "no drilling into my new truck" option. The mount is solid! The location is perfect!

 

I’d be happy to make one, but we’d have to have a private conversation about specifics of the radio. I also don’t work for free, my prices aren’t bad though

Have any more pics of this? Where is the mount actually attaching to the truck? Or would you care to just share the file?
