CB problems... any ideas

hmmmm[/URL] i will have to try and use a different two phase strand of wire like you said. maybe that will help. my coax does go thru the wire gromet in the floorboard to the left of the drivers seat then down my frame, up thru the left rear tail light. ill go get some different wire today and let you know how it goes. if that doesnt work then i might have to try one of these so called power line filters. where do you mount it in the system? im guessing on the power wired between the battery and the cb.

yes that is correct. i will also put another ground to the cb itself to the battery with a three phase wire.

As close to the Cb as possible, and the coax in the wire loom going thru the firewall is not helping at all, run the coax thru its own penetration/grommet with no other wire with it. You'd be surprised how much noise our trucks generate off of the wire looms.

well where should i have it run out then, just drill a hole in the floor in the back of the cab then seal it?
