You know what's funny is I don't have a pic of any of this and have had it in the counsel for a little while now.

Went to look for a cap for the end in the cup holders and total suffering from CRS I didn't remember to ask if they had anything like that.
Got wrapped up in looking for a relay for the locker anytime mod! which they did not have

 

You cut out some of the bottom of the console and there was another 1.5+ inches? Hmmmm. That might be an idea if I can get the bearcat in their widthwise. It was too tall by about a half inch i think.

 

Oh yhea. Mine would of stuck out for sure if not for the extra room down there. i also removed the counsel and measured the difference

 

And just what is CB?

Lolll I asked the same question a few days ago... they said they were going to work on it.

 

Yes we can make a bed rail version, but don't know how soon it will be available.

 

Any chance you have photos of how you did the wiring for that mount location? I'm looking to put a 520XL in that same spot!

C4 Fab, do you make hood/fender mounts?

With the tailgate mount, I don't like the idea of running into my antenna when I'm loading/unloading gear from my bed.

 

Do you guys have the stainless steel version yet? Didn't see it on the site.

 

Would be nice to have SS for the price, but I went ahead with purchasing the PO steel mount anyways. You can just hit it with an acid etch primer and then clear coat. Then, if you're really concerned for the bracket rusting, hit it with a light coating of fluid film (it is non conductive) applied with a paper towel or cloth. I plan on applying a light coat to my antenna adapter anyways just to help ward off any corrosion from the NE road salt. If there's anything I learned from years of sailing on salty bodies of water is the salt will always win, even if you use stainless everything!

 

I plan on doing this very soon actually. All it is is a small audio amp chip that boosts audio signals... NOT the RF signals. I want the PA horn to be a little bit louder. If it works like I hope it does, I will give a report on a before and after audio output gain increase.

 

If you boost the audio gain enough, it may be more effective than increasing the RF gain. Just yell to your trail buddies.

No we have not yet been able to make a stainless version.
