Yep! So no drilling 4 holes into the side of the truck. The only reason I'm running the Firestik mount is because I needed a CB set up in a crunch.

Yea I am kind of in a hurry too, I will have to message Ryan and see what turn around times are on this. Hopefully he has an inventory done up.

Thanks again for your help Randy!

@EatSleepTacos One last bit, do CBs have built in speakers or do you need an external speaker to hear audio output?

They have built in speakers. Some are weak though, so read up on your specific one. Adding an external one is really easy and cheap, but for mine personally it's fine without it.

This is my set up. I made my bracket out of flat aluminum and mounted it to the bed rail to behind the cab. Not much room. I still have to trim some and ground it. If the end result is good I'll paint the bracket. I can get some better photos if anyone wants them.

Looks good but I'd be worried about it rubbing the cab with the bed flexs over a bumpy road. May want to put some sort of protection in there.

Thanks man. I have tested it over some small hill and it does hit in a small spot. I have a bit more I can shave off the mount. I also have a spring for it so there are is another worrie it coming back and smaking the cab. I'll work through it and make some tie downs if needed. Work in progress

On the Amazon app, if you hit "share" and then hit "copy" it copies the link, and you can paste it in here.

Edit: also just so you're aware that seller had 0% positive feedback, so they may be a scammer.

Yes I am pretty skeptical, but figured it's not like eBay so Amazon can make any order right.

From own experience it will be a battle to get Amazon to "make it right". Their right is a refund. My definition of right is receiving the product at the price listed. 40 minutes of life and 3 call centers later, I got restitution by my definition.

I got an email that it was shipped, and should be delivered between yesterday and tomorrow, so I'm waiting so see what will actually happen. But yes, what I meant by "making it right" was getting the product on their website at the price listed. Thanks for letting me know what I may be in for if this doesn't materialize.

I waited 5 weeks with what turned out as nothing more than a bogus tracking number. 2 months later CapOne notified me that my card needed to be replaced as they received an authorization that did not have a dollar amount attached signaling to CapOne that someone was pinging the card to see if the numbers matched to a working account and warned what typically would occur is that a couple days later the card would be pounded for a big transaction $$$.

I cant necessarily link the two occurrences together in my case, but it sure smells. And as a shareholder, I am disappointed that Amazon is piss poor in scrutinizing who they are in bed with

I hope for otherwise in your case. But regardless others should take heed.

Does the cigarette lighter provide enough power for a cb? It seems like a very easy way to install...put cb in center console and get power through 12 v in the console.
