Set up went fine. The Velcro worked for a few days but because of the sun it started to peel. I had it on the backside of the center console. Now it just sits behind the passenger seat or on the rear seats if I'm using it. Not sure what you mean about the warning message?

    Is your mount painted/powdercoated?

If the mount is powder coated, do you need to sand around where the antenna would touch?

Yeah, as well as the bolt holes where the mount actually attaches to the truck.

Cool, I just got a mount but it is raw. I was going to spray it to prevent rust but will avoid those ares. Thanks!

Your best bet is to just spray the whole thing, and then scrape off a little paint around the holes. That way you don't miss any other important spots and it'll be a lot easier.

Hey all so a few weeks back I took my truck to the exhaust shop and had to take off my antenna. Now I don't believe I lost any washers or anything but now I'm getting all kinds of interference like when I use the power windows or turn on AUX lighting. I have my antenna mounted to a BAMF tailgate mount........ PLEASE HELP

Is the coax laying on the exhaust and melted?

Not sure good? ? I'll have to check tomorrow during day light. Do I need some sort of plastic washer between the antenna and antenna mount because right now it's metal to metal kind of but I feel like it's always been like that and it worked perfectly before I took off the antenna?

Yeah the antenna stud should have a nylon washer. It insulates the center transmitting part of the antenna from the mount. It also goes on top as shown. I see it flipped quite a bit and it doesnt work like that .
    download (5).jpg

My theory is your truck was placed on a lift to work on your exhaust. The antenna was too tall so they temporarily removed the antenna while on the lift and forgot to replace the washer? Or.....its melted. Good luck:fingerscrossed:

Do NOT key that radio until you get this fixed. Short to ground like this can fry the finals in the radio.

"Station"??? It doesn't display the channel on your CB head unit display? It sounds as if you have it somehow rigged up to display information on something else???

A picture of your radio setup if you don't mind? Just saying that it might help?.

No no cb it self is working fine just getting interference. That's my am/fm radio that I'm having issues with now but I believe that is unrelated to the cb

    LOL, my bad man!!!

I would say that your display on your radio just dumped on you?! I realize I'm stating a captain obvious here... just saying. I had a Garmin Nuvi display finally going out, but yet I could hear "her voice" just couldn't see annnnything???

It is odd however that it worked just fine BEFORE you took it in? At least that is how I understood that part? Just wish I could help more?! :(
