I entered through a grommet (I think it's 1.5" or so) in the floor in front of passenger seat. Then I sealed that grommet with Flex Seal.

I think so, I'll double check if that's Flex Seal brand, or Leak Seal (Rust-Oleum).
So far so good. Not sure how of a long term solution is that... I used it because the my RTV silocone was unusable, so I used what I had on hand. Have it in there since November and didn't see any leaks. But since I just said that, I'll make sure to double check for water spots.

    Everything TW members recommend
On a second 2nd there’s a rubber grommet against the DS back wall of the double cab.

Update if you find one there, could be a nice secondary option for running the coax into the cab

I believe it means to switch to a channel that has activity. I know in my area Ch21 is a popular channel, looking at the S/RF meter I can tell who's close and who's not. The stronger the signal the closer they are.

Let us know if you figure out what the issue is.

All about the Antenna of course as they all have the same chips and power. My prior truck had the Firestick on a steel grounding plan and it was great. I tried about 5 antenna combos before getting it right and tuned it carefully with the SWR meter. Try a CB forum for real research perhaps?

That was my first thought about the active channel too, but I figured that was a no-brainer.

    I'll keep you guys posted.

found 1 behind the cab on the vertical plane but...……..pita to access on the inside (have to mess with air bag stuff).
Also found a floor pan plug up by the gas tank area went right up behind rear seating, easy access line run under floor mat better than the pan plug under passenger seat

I'm planning on at least running the antenna cable today and was wondering if I have the Caliraised Tailgate mount where & how would be the best way to run a ground? Everything I've read says the ground strap should be as short as possible. Would it work to run the ground with the antenna and attach it to some metal behind the taillight? I think I have most of the other stuff figured out it's just trying to make sure it's done right.

Thanks for the pic  I'm really hoping that the mount isn't going to rub the side of the tailgate Did a dry fit yesterday without actually attaching it, just holding it in the right spot but above the bolts and it looks really close. :fingerscrossed: Putting it on tonight & praying for the best especially since I already drilled the 1/4" hole to 3/8" :frusty:
