Nope! I found a good way to do it is heat up a screw driver with a lighter/torch and burn a nice little hole in the grommet, and feed it through.

Sorry I didn't see this thread earlier. I would have steered you far away from Firestik and their crap. The firerings are notorious for corrosion. Keep it clean and greased.

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Got it all hooked. I don't have an SWR though so it's not tuned but everything is hot doing what it should! The mounting of the radio is temporary. Velcro. Wanted to see for a few days if my knee would destroy it before I screw into any plastic

I like that spot the best if it will not be too much in harms way. Thanks for all the help! I'll let you know after I get it tuned and get to go wheeling again. @BDN....

I poked a small hole with a nail next to the main wire grommet under the drivers door and the pushed needle nose pliars through it just enough to grab the coax and pull it through. I did this both for the coax and the electrical. Then to be safe out a little silicone on both sides. I think that if you seal any of your entry points you should be good. Good luck

I guess i need to get our Taco in the shop to make a bracket ASAP! Im not a regular CB user and dont have one in our truck yet. What size hole is standard for mounting the antenna through?
