Should as long as you have the mount bolted to the bed itself, extra grounds never hurt though!

 

whatcha mean extra grounds?

 

The mount its self should be enough ground, but it wont hurt to run an extra wire from the mount to the frame.

 

well this is what i came up with used 3 strands of 12 ga wire. i will check the swr's tomorrow will keep you informed

my r/c truck ^^^^
ran the power from my amps + and - terminals

ran the antenna cable through a rubber graumit(idk how to spell it)

then made my own antenna mount and thats the grounded cable connected

then this pic shows were i grounded it

and this is were i mounted the cb

 

nice man! should work pretty good. if not........find another spot for the frame end of the wire.
