    CB freqs are 11 meters that is the wave length. A half wave antenna does not require a ground plane however to be effective it would have to be 18’ long. So you are stuck with a quarter wave antenna some thing in the range of 9’ (can be 9’ wrapped in side of a 4’ antenna) but that requires a very good ground plane, the plastic bed isn’t going to do it and the fender is going to slew the pattern. The roof is the best place but not 4’ on my roof. Your SWR will suck with out a good ground plane a good body/frame ground helps because it does in effect turn the truck into a ground plane all though not as good as a flat metal roof.

    this is what i thought haha :confused: i was fine when using it in the red, just thought i need to get it out of there so i dont mess up the cb

    not sure but its a 18' 95% protection 50 ohm

    03' dbl cab with some stuff
    Run a ground wire from that lil hole on the top of the bracket down to the frame.
    U can see the ground wire in the upper right corner of the mount, and yes the matching red electric tape helped with cool factor lol.
