Thought I would try this out.
CBI brackets were very easy to install. Little scary cutting plastic, but can't tell once it was all done.
Used RAM mounts on the bracket, for easy quick-release. Spots will go on when I'm off-road, and tuck away when I'm not. Theft prevention.
Pics with my phone, but if anyone wants better ones that can be arranged.

Haven't run with them on a rough road yet, but the RAM tightens up pretty secure. We shall see.

Very interesting and different, can't say I've seen that yet. I just have mine hard mounted to my famous fab brackets.

More importantly you have to cut plastic for the CBI brackets ?!?!

    Slight clearance trim.
And I ran the wiring behind the cowl and under the cover, so 2 holes for the wiring to come out.

With the 2012+ hoods you can also cut the harness up and re-solder together to run it internally in the hood bracing. Not so sure this would work with the CBI brackets since they're more laid back on the windshield then the famous fabs.

There are also 2 pieces of the cowl that do not go back on with the brackets. One on each side between the windshield and a pillar

Loving the lights on CBI brackets. No RAM mounts now.

I have yet to install mine - how is the glare off the hood?

I had to actually grind my CBI bracket just a little bit where the hood hinge touches the bracket when the hood is closed. The clearance was off by just enough that it threw off the alignment of my hood so that hood was slightly raised. This was only the driver side (I didn't get a passenger side). Anybody else have the same problem?

Mine were perfect, hood up and hood down. Clearance is tight but unrestricted.

OK guess it might be hit or miss. Thanks for the feedback!
