    Hello!
I am planning on buying a CBI full skid plate as well as Cali Raised LED rock sliders form 2018 Tacoma. I haven't seen that setup before on another Tacoma, and I'm wondering if anybody who has that setup has had issues with fitup between the two. There's one location near the brake line bracket where the back edge of the skid plate attaches to the frame which is close to a rock slider attachment point, but from what I can tell they shouldn't interfere with each other. Below his a links to both the skid plates and the Rock slider as well install videos, also screenshots where I circled the location I am concerned about. If anyone has had experience with this setup any information would be much appreciated!

Yep, the fit up was just fine. No interference at all. The photos of the skid were taken before the rock sliders were installed. I'm glad I went with this setup. Those are the 25° rock sliders.

How do the sliders mate up with the skids? Any overlapping bolts? How does the brake line area lineup!

The fit up between the sliders and the skid plates had plenty of clearance on my setup. I recommend installing the sliders before the skid plates if you can, but it doesn't matter very much. I installed the skid plate first and there were some fasteners I had to remove to install the rock sliders, but it's not a big deal.

The one thing I do not like is the interference of some of the rock slider bolts with the break lines on the drivers side toward the rear of the slider. I contacted Cali Raised and they told me to turn the bolt around but the brake lines were still forced out of the way too much for my liking. I ended up leaving the bolt out because I can foresee issues with brake lines riding on a bolt head over the years. I ended up zip tying a piece of hose around a brake line in a different location to keep it from making contact with a different bolt. I don't think leaving that bolt out changed much in regards to the strength as there's still six or seven large fasteners holding it on. My truck is daily driver and that one missing bolt doesn't make a difference to me, but someone with a pure off-roading rig might want to move that hole or reroute the brake lines.

All in all both fit well enough together.

Do you have more photos of the sliders? I have been struggling to find examples of sliders on 3rd gen access cabs.

Sure thing, I'll see if I can get some photos today. Is there a specific area you are interested in seeing?

Just found some photos on my phone of the bolt/break-line area that I mentioned in my previous post. I ended up leaving that bolt out. Should give an idea of the assembly in that area. There's always a variance in manufacturing and this is how mine happen to fit up. I can take more sometime later if you want to see anything specific. There's another area in the break-line more towards the front of the truck that I zip tied a piece of rubber hose around to keep it from contacting the bolt when driving over rough terrain.

Thanks for the reply. Any coverage over the catalytic converter?

The skids cover from the front bumper to the back of the transmission.

Old thread I know, but taking a stab in the dark here: does anybody know if there are any issues installing this in a driveway, without a car lift? Going to be putting this exact combo on this weekend.

more concerned when it comes to removing the cross members for the rear skid

Doable, just not going to be fun. May have to jack it up a little if it's factory height. Jack stands for the plates and sliders will be your friend

    Well see how this goes.

No issues removing the cross members for the rear skid with the weight of truck still on its wheels?

Did mine in the drive, easy peasy. Helps if you have a friend and make sure you have some ratchet wrenches, there are some tight spaces.
