Was in the market for a high clearance front receiver and found that Low range off road, for some reason, has them for quite a bit cheaper than CBI themselves.

    299$ at low range :

    http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/2005...eceiver-hitch-by-cbi-off-road-fab-t2-frh.html

Shipping to me was 40$. At a total of 340$ shipped.

    CBI's website is 375$ + shipping.

Made the decision easy for me to pull the trigger on one of these.

Just to give you some options.
    Check out @Mobtown Offroad.
Theirs comes with two additional recovery points for shackles.
Price is close to Low Range.

I ordered mine and got it 9days later.

I honestly loved the fact that they had the recovery points, but the price as of now is 399$ + 65$ shipping powdercoated (330$ no powdercoat) and I figured if I dont have the winch mounted ill just throw on a d ring receiver hitch. Also CBI has frame re-inforcements built in, and it doesn't say anything about that on the mobtown. I often am in the backcountry with full size rigs so in the scenario I have to pull one of them out I like the extra peace of mind.

Plus CBI is shipping tomorrow (or so it says) and mobtown has a 3-4 week lead time (non powdercoated). Im going on a trip in our now saturated NV desert in 2 weeks so that was a factor. I think either are a good choice.

Thank you for considering our product. We appreciate the criticism so I wanted to point out the differences for others to see too.

The funny thing about the lead time is we used to stock these. When they were in stock, we'd have them on the shelf for 3-4 months and they'd never sell. So then we stopped stocking them because holding inventory is very expensive. Once we stopped stocking them, they started to sell... Figures right? @Phoosa got very lucky when he ordered his because we just so happened to be running a batch of orders so we threw his in at the same time.

As for cost, yes our product is a little more than CBI's but that is for good reason. Our main tube that sees all the forces is 3" square x 3/16" wall which is a lot stronger than the competitions design. We use 1/4" plate steel for all the flanges and mount points, they use 3/16" thick plate steel. Our shackle points are an additional feature and IMO nice to have because there are times where you don't need the winch.

Also, not saying you are wrong at all but I checked their price and it is $375 plus shipping. Ours is only $24 more for the shackle points, powder coated.

As I said I really liked the shackle mounts. Think they are both great products, I guess it just came down to the fact that I wanted mine for an upcoming trip in a couple weeks and I completely understand why this may be something that is not worth keeping a stock of.

Makes perfect sense. Again, I appreciate the comparison and thoughts.

    @Mobtown Offroad

You guys ever run a sale on your version?

Turns out lowrange does not stock them and CBI does not either (although their website says they were in stock) so its been over a month and no updates, would consider cancelling the order in favor of the mobtown version if a sale is coming anytime soon on them.

We have one in stock that I could ship tomorrow. It is not powder coated though, powder coat adds a week.
