Welp, I ordered some prinsu tent mounting feet on 6/15 because they were in stock and the CBI staff told me that they would be sent out and to me before a trip i had planned on 6/28. their order confirmation said it would ship within the week and therefore be to my door in time. I called today (6/28) and was told that the product would ship out next week! Thats 3 weeks to ship an instock item. I don't get it, and now I'm stuck scrambling to get my tent mounted before leaving tonight. Terrible customer service and hopefully they refund my entire purchase price since they have not even pulled the parts off the shelf. I sent an email to them and hopefully they will reply.

Isn’t 6/15 to 6/28 is only about 2 weeks. Not sure how you got 4 weeks?

Three weeks, if you include “ship next week”. Still not accurate

Well they are not shipping until next week so that adds a week. And I fixed the post.. it’s still unacceptable to me.

CBI is worth the wait. I waited half a year for my bumpers one time. Deal with it …

This is interesting and good to know. I was about to order front and rear bumpers, skids, and sliders through them… Been seeing a lot of similar negative posts on CBI lately and this post made me think more about spending all this cash with them. If I’m going to spend that kinda money I want it to be a company that cares about their customers. Hope your issue gets resolved and your tent gets mounted on time. Have a great trip!

Custom made products I get the wait. Believe me, I’ve waited a lot for that sort of stuff. But when you say it’s in stock and that it will be there on time, then not actually ship it until a week after you said it would arrive…

    You are not alone.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/cbi-offroad-customer-battles-for-product.590996/page-15

I have never ordered from CBI and never will based on the number of complaints on TW lately regarding their customer service. I hope you get your stuff, or your money.

Now queue all the moderators and CBI fanboys to swoop in and defend them as a reputable vendor.

    o_O

I get that the supply chain is a mess and lots of stuff is delayed right now, but CBI doesnt appear to be having one-off issues. It's a pattern of failed customer service.

    You’re making a big mistake.
Although all complaints regarding CBI are true , and waiting sure does suck when you fork over that much cash…. There is nothing we can do about it.
Unfortunately just about all the other companies which make accessories fail at making a good looking product. It’s not even up for debate . Most other bumpers/sliders/racks look like a disabled hill billy fashioned it with an arc welder and scrap parts. Maybe some exceptions… but over all if a company can’t build a strong aluminum front bumper with all that sheet metal work , smooth lines and radius bends (tube work is for primitive apes who only have a bender) plus welding … then you know it’s a good fabricator.

Discounting a quality company because they didn't ship one product on time? Oh boy.....

What kind of tent? You could check with the tent manufacturer as well. I know CVT offers replacement hardware and other companies use the same rails.

Being a good fabricator doesn't excuse shit customer service in my opinion.

a year and a half is unacceptable. custom million dollar homes are built in that amount of time. its a $1000 bumper and they have a jig made and a cnc machine to cut it out. Im sorry but this notion that a product like that, after its been designed and theres a template to build it, that you have to wait a year and a half if just idiotic. Its doubly idiotic if they hold your money the whole time. if they want to hold my money for a year on a piece, they can pay me interest on it. Id go find another company if someone told me anything even remotely close to a year and a half. And thats fine, if they're backed up that long they dont need my business. Plenty of other businesses have figured out how to provide products in a timely manner.

whats funny is i even have a CBI bumper (this was purchased way back when before their cust service went to shit) but it was a weld together kit so i didnt need to wait for them to find time to weld it together.

I understand that, but my point is that the OPs experience is not unique. It demonstrates an ongoing issue that is well documented by other customer.
