Bought my truck last year from a private dealer 140k miles and no issues, but this year august after being out to sea for about a month I start it up and my CEL and TRAC popped up. Drove 12+ hours back home and had no issues, but now this issue has been progressing and will go into “safe” mode and not let me accelerate. I’ve checked the 10 amp fuse it’s fine and got a diagnostic ran at Autozone it’s saying i’m having a throttle sensor issue. Any other ideas as to what it could be ?

Did you store it on base while on cruise? Rats are notorious for chewing on wires, especially in Norfolk...

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Rats, mice, chipmunks, squirrels - all nasty rodents that can wreak havoc on wire insulation. Cost me $6K for a new diesel engine for my tractor after they had packed the intake with nest material & acorns.

Yes I kept it on base! I didn’t know the rats were that bad, but it makes sense I’ll have someone check it out. The dealerships here are charging $150 for a diagnostic alone which is absurd, but thank you both!

Here is a thread on mice and lots of wiring damage pictures on what to look for.

I’m curious what you find out. Same issue here but just noticed it this morning. Did your trac light flicker or go on then off with the CEL staying on?

It stayed on with the CEL on, but I tapped the alternator with a hammer and I have not had any issues since surprisingly

What you describe could be caused by a loose gas cap. Did you fill up your tank recently?

Your symtoms sound slightly different than madwanoutdoors. When I was trying to find a locking gas cap that would seal properly, I would get a solid CEL light with an intermittent Trac Off light. This made me think madwanoutdoors might have a loose gas cap.

On a sidenote, once the gas cap is sealing properly I could clear the trouble code with my scan tool or just drive for awhile and the CEL light would clear itself.

You really need a scanner with Live Data in all modules to see what everything is doing, as well as have the charging system properly checked out (1st)...

The P2122 is dealing with the Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "D" Circuit Low, is loosely a TPS (throttle position sensor) on your throttle pedal, it tells the PCM/ECM how much/far you are depressing the gas pedal, the PCM then (with the help of many more sensor signals) opens the throttle body blade to match, you can of course have a wiring issue, or dirt/sand (from shoes) gets up in the sensor (it is a potentiometer) and cause it to fail.. Your code is showing a low voltage issue, it can send the vehicle into limp home mode and or no throttle response...

The C1241code indicates a low power supply voltage malfunction in the ABS system, this code include a low battery charge, faulty battery, faulty charging system, or faulty Skid Control ECU (ABS system)...

Since the vehicle sat for a while and both codes are referencing a low voltage issue, I would start there and repair that issue 1st then clear the codes and retest if CEL/MIL comes back on..
