I've had my Tacoma since March of 2022. I just hit 14,000 miles on my TRD Sport. I appreciate a ton of the Off-Road builds. I would've loved an Off-Road trim, but I knew my time in the truck was going on be spent in So-Cal freeways commuting. Just some small changes I've made to the truck have made it fun to drive.

I got a set of 17x8.5 TE37 knockoffs with 265/70/17 Cooper Rugged Treks a couple of months ago and I guess I forgot to add the pics. Also swapped to studded Toyos on the steelies for winter duty. With the unusually warm weather we've been getting and lack of snow it's taking all I've got to not put the aftermarket wheels back on. LOL!

 

21 TRD Off Road

Adding a low pro bumper/winch and upgrading to the long range tank.

 

@Yes_that_Kiwi looks like that suspension is working great. What suspension and wheel/tire set up?

 

The truck is installed with Total Chaos UCA, King shock 2.5, Archive Garage hammer hangers Alcan springs, u-bolt flip kit, and Total Chaos re-location kit.

Tires Method 703 with 285-70-17.

Re-geared the truck to 4.88 so it feels a bit 'meaner'

Used the truck this year to get out on some deer/elk hunts and I was pretty impressed with how everything felt, I am hopeful that it will tow my squaredrop nicely so I can get out and do some fly fishing this spring!

I dig the way this looks. Do you know the offsets of your wheels. I'm looking into a set with the same size but -6 offset. Wondering if they will rub.

 

Mine are -10mm offset and they rub. I'd bet -6 will also rub Wheel width will play a part in it but I'd say maybe a 0mm on an 8" wheel could get away without rub on the street but might still rub flexing off road. I'm going to do a set f Bilsteins with the front set for a 1.5 to 1.75 inch lift.

 

What $30,500 in damage looks like. Got rear ended on the freeway by an Accord, driver took off. Needs a new bed and frame assembly, might take 3+ months

 

That sucks man. Sorry. That's one crazy estimate. I am surprised that's not a totaled situation.

 

Looks like it's driveable until they can fix it.

 

did the accord not damage its radiator or deploy and airbag with that type of damage to your truck?
