Yeah I don’t think there’s much to go after. Expired drivers license as well.

Situation is pretty shitty, but at the end of the day it will all be resolved. Thankfully I had uninsured motorist coverage.

They asked me to do that exact thing. Getting on my computer and sending them examples tonight.

The closer you get to the area you are the more convincing also. My younger brother has a 4runner Trail we just lifted then he wrecked it. We lucked out and found it for 22,500, when I checked the 3 closest ones where 28,500-30,000 with leather and jbl like his but 600 miles away. I had to drive 6 hrs to get his. Use cars.com autotrader.com and search in google cement pro tacoma used in google is how we found his.

    Shitty man. Sorry.

Worked in insurance for a few years here as well. The company will pursue other means of getting their money back depending on the amount. For what a pro is going for, I wouldn't be surprised if they used legal means to recover.

Agreed. The insurance company will attempt to recover money paid out from the responsible party. There is no guarantee of reimbursement, but at least there will be an attempt. I assume the subrogation department will handle the collection process.

Shitty. Do people still blow through red lights? I hope that person loses their privilege to drive.
My family lives near Orange and I find California drivers are used to the best conditions possible (95% of the time) which reduces their situational awareness.
    Ahhh what do I know...
I drive super slow these days in order to avoid this stuff but that doesn't mean anything... just takes one dummy.

Yea another distracted driver. Glad you walked away. A friend of mine riding his Harley killed by a texting driver! That drivers actions were more important than my friend or any other lives..

Time for some investigation into assets search some douche bag hit me a few years back no insurance in Fl all he had was PIP and no liability. I found out that he had some property assets with his two sisters from an inheritance BOOM lien on the assets. At the time I was poor but I had PIP and Liability to cover someone property in case I hit someone. my car that was only worth about $3,500 and carrying full coverage was not in the budget at the time. I ended up with $7k in my pocket as his sisters gladly paid to have the lien removed.

Since they aren't working on my truck, I need to get out of my rental asap. Hopefully find a happy medium with my truck payout today. If so, I will be buying tonight or tomorrow. So far these are the deals I can get. Blue Trd Pro for MSRP, or Cement 4x4 off road for a little under invoice. About a $7k difference. Opinions are welcomed.

Sounds like that would make you happy...

Then put a lien on the shitstick's paycheck for causing a economic hardship!

See if this guy has a house that has equity.....

Since I’m in the same boat you are, just don’t have confirmation yet in regards to my pro being totaled , I’ll say this:
I think I would always regret moving down to the OR. I love my Pro dearly, and come hell, or high water, I will own one again. For me personally, I’ve always regretted settling for less that what I really wanted.
After all, it’s only money! Lol

    Good luck with the decision!

Buy new, not used. Never know the story of that truck and owner.
PRO or OR and color of your choice. I would go for PRO to replace the original, and SMURF color for "original" or cement for resale value. I know it will cost you more from the pocket but...
-never mention in any accident that you are OK without a scratch-. I would have fainted and flip like a fish out of water, ask for medical assistance, claim major headache, neck pain, back pain, double vision, etc. That will give you more $$ to cover for a new PRO without you loosing money.

Wow. Glad to hear about another safe Taco wreak.

I know one shouldn't be emotional about objects, but those pictures hurt me a little. Please tell me it wasn't a MT!

I had option for blue pro, but i went with mgm, double cab long bed 4x4 offroad, i got the long bed i wanted, leather, jbl. I was able to get pro for msrp $44,*** or trd offroad for invoice $39,2** (ended up getting @250 under invoice) they wanted me to finance with them. I am replacing wheels with volk racing, suspension with bilstein 6112/5160, icon rear leaf springs, ecgs bushing, trd pro grill, and i had it ceramic coated inside and out, so i decided on trd with offroad, premium and tech package and used the $4500 to pay for some of my upgrades.
